Hi! I’m Sarah Turner. I’m originally from Thomaston, Georgia and now live and work in Richmond, Virginia. I completed my undergraduate studies in Art Education at Columbus State University. It was then that I committed to being a working artist and educator. I taught high school art for a couple of years before moving to the great River City to pursue a graduate degree in ceramics. After finishing up at Virginia Commonwealth University, I continued to lurk around and they even occasionally let me teach wonderful, undergraduate ceramic students. Additionally, I teach at the Visual Arts Center and work from my newly added and continually improving home studio.
If the work you see here isn’t enough and you are interested, I also have a line of cheekier work that I market on the indie craft circuits. There are robots and kitties and cute things over on that other site. You can also see the group of crafters I work with through the Richmond Craft Mafia. We bring awesome to the masses.
